The Last Day Of 2020 Tastes Like Honey – I’m Thankful And Hopeful

I woke up this morning with a beautiful song on my lips and a joy as deep as the ocean. I couldn’t help but frown at my lovely mood – a part of me is sceptical. This is 2020 for crying out loud!!!! With so many deaths across the world and with economic disasters ravaging the globe, as humans, we should feel sad. Here I am, smiling like a sheep. Sorry if this makes you feel awkward, there are times when we can’t control how we feel, that’s the time for me.

Why am I happy? Am I happy because the tough year is at its end? For all that I know, there is no difference between Dec 2020 and January 2021. With our masks, we will cross into next year and might go back to lockdown. It’s not over yet.

Here is what my beautiful spirit tells me; as survivors, we should be thankful and prayerful and hopeful, even though the dilemma is yet to end.

Majority of us are reluctant to wish our neighbours a Happy New Year. But I urge you to go ahead and say something good about next year.

Life goes on. As I have said earlier, we end this year this way, but we ain’t going to end the coming year the same way. This is where my faith lies.

In less than 12 hours, we will wave 2020 bye and welcome 2021. May you find something to be thankful for in 2020 and a reason to hope for normalcy in 2021.

Happy New Year to you!💆‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙏❤
